Well, its a bit early...but Saturday was the party for every teacher in korea. Itaewon korea...the army base and certainly where every foreigner goes to b back in america. its got all the regular places like KFC, quisnos, subway, tacobell (on the base), among other classic american gross places. either way, we went, had a blast celebrating at an irish pub---it was wayyy too packed. nothing like ireland, but still some good craic. I was saddened to see so many souls weak and drunk...just disgusting! nothing attractive about it. ireland they didnt abuse it, but it was definitely a joyous occassion---the trad sessions, etc.
Itaewon didn't have any of that. just the bad parts of st. paddy's. owell, its what happens. america takes something good and commercializes on it and ruins it. ah, well i got a great T that is irish authentic writing... and such. but ah, how it did make me miss ireland and her beauty.
no matter where u r, what u do, memories r still the best gift. :)
